Some inspiration is always easy to find.

I was looking at brother Ebrahim's blog and I felt a certain way about a posting. I felt great sorrow for people in other countries who are being torn by War. It made me think what if that was to take place in the U.S.? What would happen to our society. Would it still be so cool to be so pretentious, money hungry, ignorant, wasteful, arrogant, or uncompassionate? What would the pop coulture be about if this country was to face the ills of other countries? Would there be pointless hours of music bragging about being rich while the majority of the consumers live in poverty? Would we look at celebrities as Kings & Queens if our country began to physically crumble right before our eyes?

I wake up and give thanks to the creator for allowing me another day to live and do something that will benefit the wourld. When the day comes and money isn't a issue for me I often think what type of contribution will I be. I aspire to be of great service even before that day does arrive. The sad part about it all is so few people even care. Most people are satisfied with turning the blind eye to a lot that goes on as long as their shopping and partying isn't interrupted. I don't have a solution other than stay positive and do things that matter in this life. Stop wasting time doing things that have no positive impact on your community, country, or world. Wake up or continue to walk sleep.

Here is a video that I saw off brother Ebrahim's blog as well. The words are very powerful and should give you some upliftment, inspiration and motivate you to do something even if it's just to send up a hearfelt prayer. Peace and love.
